PINA Cervicus Titan

Cervicaler Titan Cage

The intervertebral cervical CERVICUS Invadur® cages from PINA® Medizintechnik Vertriebs AG are implants designed for implantation between the end plates of the vertebral bodies. These cages are intended for applications in segments C2 to C7. The implants can be inserted via a lateral anterior approach to the cervical spine. Their shape is adapted to the morphology of the intervertebral body spaces to be treated and to the prescribed surgical techniques. The cages are available in various designs and sizes. CERVICUS Invadur® cages are made of polymers from the PAEK group. This specially made Invadur® material is X-ray transparent, bio-, MRI-, and CT-compatible. CERVICUS Invadur cages are available both sterile and non-sterile.

INION FreedomPin™

The Inion FreedomPin™ is a stable absorbable pin used as a fixation element in numerous orthopedic surgeries. Due to the unique manufacturing process and the hexagonal shaft design, the Inion FreedomPin™ offers clear advantages compared to the traditional round implant pin.

Indications

The Inion FreedomPin™ products are used for alignment and fixation of bone fractures, osteotomies, arthrodeses and bone grafts under additional immobilization. 

Advantages

• Significant improvements in torsional and pull-out strength due to the hexagonal shaft shape of the pin.
• Different pin diameters (1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.7 mm and 3.2 mm) result in a wide range of possible applications for the pins.  
• For improved intraoperative visibility, the pins are colored accordingly. 
  
• With the aid of a low-temperature cautery, a new pin head can be created at any point along the shaft.

The Inion FreedomScrew™ is a stable, resorbable and versatile screw for orthopedic fixation. Due to the unique manufacturing method and excellent technical properties, the Inion FreedomScrew™ offers many advantages.  

Indications 

• Fixation of fractures, osteotomies and arthrodesis of the upper extremities, ankle and foot with additional immobilization. 
• In addition, Inion FreedomScrew™ 3.5/4.0/4.5 mm products are specifically used for the following indications.
• Fractures and osteotomies of the ankle. (malleolus)

Advantages

• The excellent properties of the material as well as the improved tear-out resistance of the screw profile ensure an optimal fit of the screws even in challenging orthopedic fixations. 
• Using the low-temperature cautery, a flat and thus tissue-conserving screw profile can be created. This means that the screws can also be cut to the appropriate length intraoperatively.  
• Memory Effect - With the Inion FreedomScrew™, the low-temperature cautery can be used to create a screw head anywhere along the shaft. 
• By equipping the screws with disposable metal adapters, they can be adapted with a hex screwdriver. The metal adapters make the screws compatible with most universal instruments used by international hospitals (ISO, ASIF, AO).

INION S1 Cervical Plate

INION S-1 Biodegradable Anterior Cervical Plate

The Inion S-1™ Biodegradable Anterior Cervical Fusion System consists of plates and screws made of degradable co-polymers composed of L-lactic and D-lactic acid. These polymers have a long history of safe medical use and they degrade in vivo by hydrolysis into alpha-hydroxy acids that are metabolised by the body. Based on in vitro testing, the implants retain most of their initial strength up to 16 weeks and gradually lose their strength thereafter; bioresorption takes place within two to four years. The plates and screws contain radiopaque tantalum markers for postoperative radiographic imaging.  

The Inion S-1™ Biodegradable Anterior Cervical Fusion System plates are available in different sizes for use in single and double level fusions.

Overview

INION CPS™

The Inion® biodegradable co-polymers used for the Inion CPS™ Fixation Systems are composed of L-Lactide, D,L-Lactide, Polyglycolide and TMC (Trimethylene Carbonate). These polymers have long histories of safe clinical use. 

The structure of the implants can be described as amorphous. They are degraded in vivo by hydrolysis and metabolized by the body to CO2 and water. The degradation profiles have been adapted to initially provide stability and then gradually transfer the load to the bone to optimally support bone regeneration.                         

Inion CPS™ implants retain at least 70% of their original strength 9 weeks after implantation. Bioresorption takes place within two to four years.

• Inion CPS™ implants are biodegradable. No permanent metal implant remains in the body, reducing the risk of implant migration and stress shielding.  
• Predictable degradation gradually stresses the bone and supports bone regeneration  
• Addresses patient concerns regarding implant permanence, palpability and temperature sensitivity  
• Does not interfere with postoperative imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI) that may be required for later diagnosis because implants are non-metallic
